The OneMedical Property Team recently visited Aspull Church Primary School in Wigan to work with the children there as part of the development of a Community Orchard which is due to open this summer at Aspull Health & Wellbeing.
Aspull Health & Wellbeing was awarded an ‘Excellent’ BREEAM rating for the build and the Community Orchard is one more string to that bow, adding an extra level of sustainability; from carbon capture through to a lifestyle and healthy eating legacy the whole community will be able enjoy.
The children were asked to design a logo for the Community Orchard which will be displayed on the orchard’s noticeboard. After the children worked in class and at home on their designs, the Property Team returned to school to award some eagerly awaited results. The winners and runners-up all received some design and build-related prizes in the shape of Lego with which they can build their own environmentally friendly health centres of the future! Look out for some of the other amazing entries which will be on display at Aspull Health and Wellbeing.
