We recently shared revised plans of the proposed redevelopment of Corfton Road Surgery based on our programme of consultations with local groups, residents and patients. Based on these consultations and the valuable feedback received, as a design team, Corfton Road Surgery have worked with OneMedical Property and QAD architects to recommend the following key changes:
Building mass reduced:
The size of the building has been reduced in order to ensure that it complements the surrounding conservation area. This change, achieved by service provision efficiencies, ensures that the surgery can still provide all key services and continue to meet the needs of the expanding patient list whilst also taking into account concerns raised over the size of the building.
Building aesthetics changed:
Lighter colours have been used for the building exterior to incorporate tones more reflective of the local context and additional landscaping has been included.to ensure that the development further enhances the surrounding landscape.
The planning application has now been updated to reflect the changes with the public consultation period ending on 9 November.
