Rosedean House Surgery

We have some fantastic news to share! We have received full sign-off from the Integrated Care Board (ICB) for the redevelopment of Rosedean House Surgery.
This is a significant milestone and a major step forward in our plans to create a modern, state-of-the-art healthcare facility that better meets your needs.
We’re incredibly excited about this development and are now working through the next steps, including exploring various temporary accommodation options. We’ll be sharing more details about the temporary accommodation process and location in the near future.
We know change can be worrying but please be reassured that we will be supporting you and keep you informed throughout.

See below for further information.

What’s happening?

What does this mean for you as a patient?

For now, there are no changes to your healthcare services. You can continue to see your GP team at Rosedean House Surgery as usual. We will keep you fully informed about any upcoming changes, including the location of the temporary accommodation and how the process will work.
We’re committed to ensuring a smooth transition during the redevelopment process and will provide regular updates to keep you informed.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work towards a brighter future for healthcare in our community.

Many of you came to our engagement event back in November 2022 when we shared our plans and gave us some helpful feedback. We listened to that and have made some changes following your suggestions.

We are proposing to expand Rosedean House Surgery to offer an improved, modern healthcare setting which respects and enhances the history of the building. The new Surgery will offer an extended range of services and ensure the highest standard of healthcare for patients with more space and better access.

We hope that building work will begin towards the summer of 2024. Please note that to do this we will move to a temporary site to ensure the safety of both patients and staff.

During the Transition

– Access: Once construction starts, Rosedean House Surgery will remain fully accessible from a new nearby convenient location. Details of the temporary accommodation will be shared soon.

– Parking: Disabled parking will be available. The temporary site is easy walking distance from public car parks and bus stops

– Clinics: All clinics will continue as scheduled

– Dispensary: Our dispensary will be open as usual

Our service will remain unchanged with the same phone numbers and staffing levels. As ever, we will strive to provide you with a high standard of care during this time.

Your Feedback Matters

We value your thoughts on the redevelopment and we would like to know:

· Do you have any questions about the temporary site or new development?

· Are you worried about how it might affect you?

You can leave your feedback on the form at the bottom of this page.

Your health services and improved accessibility

Rosedean House Surgery aims to accommodate a broader range of services and provide the highest standard of healthcare for patients, alongside the services currently delivered, within a larger, modern healthcare setting.

  • Minor illness and urgent on the day service
  • Minor surgery
  • Women’s health
  • Vaccination and childhood immunisation service
  • Clinical Pharmacist supporting patient care
  • New patient checks
  • Wellbeing centre (cancer support, elderly care, weight management, learning disabilities, mental health support, referral to allied health professionals i.e., Diabetes Prevention Programme)
  • Health check reviews and monitoring of long-term health conditions
  • Dispensing services

The new design proposes improved accessibility for patients and staff, including improved premises to expand services for preventative medicine, disabled access and facilities, updated digital systems to support patient care, enhanced car park access and improved access to green spaces, keyworker housing, community retail space and much more.
